Julia is a conceptual, multidisciplinary artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington.

After a career in theatre production and direction in Germany, Julia shifted to Fine Arts. Driven to create immersive, time-based, site specific works, her research-based practice includes explorations of realms of cultural identity and legacies, as well as non-linear concepts of time and memory. Within her works she is striving to find visual languages that open conversations about existing political, social, and cultural concepts and conflicts in a reflective and critical way.

Julia completed her BFA (Hons) in 2023 from Massey University | Toi Rauwhārangi (First Class Excellence). She is part of The See Here Collective and Te Waituhi ā Nuku: Drawing Ecologies.
